Former Nigerian president, Shehu Shagari, has died at the age of 93.
Shagari, the first and only President of Nigeria’s Second Republic between 1979 and 1983,died this evening at the National Hospital Abuja, after a brief illness.
He has been laid to rest.
The ex-leader who died yesterday at the age of 93, was buried in his hometown in Sokoto state.
The burial ceremony was attended by the likes of President Buhari amongst a few other dignitaries.
