Embarrassed movie mogul, Harvey Weinstein is expected to turn himself in to the NYPD on Friday, today to face sex assault charges
Sources familiar with the investigation which was conducted by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, told New York Daily News, Weinstein will be charged with preying on Lucia Evans who told investigators that he forced her to perform oral sex on him in 2004.
Evans told The New Yorker she was an incoming college senior trying to break into the business when she met Weinstein at a nightclub.
According to her, the movie mogul invited her to the Miramax office for a meeting, where she alleged Weinstein pulled her head down to his crouch.
“I said, over and over, ‘I don’t want to do this, stop, don’t,’ ” she told the magazine. “I tried to get away, but maybe I didn’t try hard enough. I didn’t want to kick him or fight him.”
Evans said the hulking Weinstein ultimately “overpowered” her. “I just sort of gave up,” she said.
Although it’s not clear if Weinstein will be hit with additional charges related to other victims, after more than 50 women including A-list actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, Ashley Judd and Angelina Jolie among many others accused him of sexual harassment, assault or rape.
